The Royal Marines Charities look after and enhance the lives of serving and veteran Royal Marines and their families.
With the demand for raising funds growing heavily over recent years with an increased number of deployments, The Royal Marines Shop was launched by the Royal Marines Charities in 2013. The aim of the venture was not just about establishing a successful online shop; it was also about providing commercial and business experience to recovering Royal Marines personnel through their active involvement and support.
In four years, the shop has grown from a small social enterprise to a thriving online retailer with a nationally recognised brand, selling a growing range of quality Royal Marines branded high-quality clothing and merchandise. The Royal Marines Shop is now also responsible for administering the Royal Marines Lottery on behalf of the Royal Marines Association (RMA). All profits from the shop and lottery are donated back to the RMA to support the wounded and wider Corps family.
Online retail is both exciting and challenging, but it can be a daunting task to stand out from the crowd and offering customers something unique is vital.
