Darts Farm is the home of local West Country food & drink and beautifully crafted, luxury gift, home and lifestyle products.

In the 1970’s on the outskirts of Exeter, Ronald Dart started ‘Pic Fresh’, selling his own grown fruit and vegetables to the local community from a small hut at the bottom of his field. From these humble beginnings, Darts Farm has blossomed to become what is today – a nationally regarded local food hub, selling own grown and locally-sourced artisan products.

The farm shop is still very much a family owned business, run by brothers Paul, Michael and James Dart, who while still keeping the original values at the heart of the business, have gradually expanded the farm to one of the best farm shops in the UK, making for a truly exceptional shopping experience. As well as selling fresh local food, drink and organic produce, the shop has an on-site master butcher, fishmonger, baker, deli, cider maker and restaurant. It is a compilation of carefully handpicked specialist retailers focussed on the great outdoors, home and interiors.

Darts Farm’s success is not only demonstrated by their outstanding retail facilities and local products, but also by the numerous national and regional awards they have received. This includes Large Farm Shop of the Year at the Farm Shop and Deli Awards 2016, FARMA Best Farm Shop in the UK 2015, Food and Farming UK Retailer of the Year, Food Reader Best Farm Shop in the South West and most recently South West Champion for Local Food and Drink in the Countryside Alliance Awards.

What the client said:

The continuing success of our family run farm retail business has in no small way been due to the help of our accountants, Thompson Jenner and their excellent and reliable staff. Thompson Jenner have provided us with first class accounting systems and taxation advice and played an active role in helping us develop our business strategy. Their advice and financial support has helped us to increase our gross margin and net profits year on year, as well as contributing to the successful expansion of our farm shop into a nationally regarded award winning local food hub.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the firm to any other business seeking a professional and proactive accountancy and business advisory service.
