In the 1970’s on the outskirts of Exeter, Ronald Dart started ‘Pic Fresh’, selling his own grown fruit and vegetables to the local community from a small hut at the bottom of his field. From these humble beginnings, Darts Farm has blossomed to become what is today – a nationally regarded local food hub, selling own grown and locally-sourced artisan products.
The farm shop is still very much a family owned business, run by brothers Paul, Michael and James Dart, who while still keeping the original values at the heart of the business, have gradually expanded the farm to one of the best farm shops in the UK, making for a truly exceptional shopping experience. As well as selling fresh local food, drink and organic produce, the shop has an on-site master butcher, fishmonger, baker, deli, cider maker and restaurant. It is a compilation of carefully handpicked specialist retailers focussed on the great outdoors, home and interiors.
