Position: Full time Personal Tax Assistant

Responsible for: The preparation of tax returns and tax administration

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing and well organised taxation team.  Our team provide a seamless and efficient service to an expanding client base across Devon and the South West.

As Personal Tax assistant you will be responsible for dealing with a range of clients including sole traders, partnerships and directors. Your principal responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of personal and partnership tax returns, including the calculation of Capital Allowances, taxable profits from self-employment and Capital Gains.
• Obtaining all necessary information from the clients, third parties and from the Firm’s own records.
• Dealing with clients queries
• Maintaining high standards of client service at all times.

The person:

Ideally, you will possess at least 2 years’ experience within a personal tax department and be capable of completing self -assessment returns. In addition, you should demonstrate strong communication skills and have a personable and sociable manner.

You will also be used to meeting tight deadlines, motivated and have an extremely high attention to detail with excellent keyboard and IT skills

The successful candidate may already hold an ATT or AAT qualification. However, if required, the right candidate will be provided with full and comprehensive ATT study support as part of a structured training programme.

Salary: This will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
