Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will deliver his second Spring Budget against a stagnant economic backdrop and whilst many households and businesses are still struggling with the increased cost of living. The Autumn Statement already announced a number of tax changes coming in with effect from 06 April and recent news has suggested there may not be much headroom for further tax cuts in the Spring Budget. These points aside, we expect some optimism and giveaways from the Chancellor with this being the last opportunity for tax and spending policy changes before we head into the General Election later this year.
Presenting an overview of the key budget decisions will be Geoff Fraser, our Head of Taxation. Geoff will be joined by Paul Hancock, Commercial & Security Director of Think IT, who will be discussing the latest in cyber security.
As always, we will unravel the detail to explain what the Budget really means for individuals and businesses in Devon and across the South West.
