A trainee at accountancy firm, Thompson Jenner LLP, is celebrating after achieving excellent results in her AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) exams.
Katie Quick, who works at the firm’s Exeter office, achieved 95% overall and a Distinction in her recent AAT level 2 Certificate in Accounting exam. Katie completed this part of the course in less than 8 months with the module forming part of her Level 3 Assistant Accounting Apprenticeship.
Katie said: “I was delighted to receive my Statement of Achievement and achieving a Distinction. My aim had been obviously to pass, but achieving 95% makes all of the hard work really worthwhile.”
She added: “I’ve been at Thompson Jenner for 12 months and really enjoy my work and the colleagues I work with. I’d like to thank everyone here for their support throughout my first year of training.”
Exeter Partner Jon Westley said “We are all delighted that Katie has done so well in her exams to date. I know she has spent many dedicated hours studying and this has definitely paid off with her excellent results.”
He went on to say, “Thompson Jenner has a long history of training young people who are starting their careers in accountancy and tax. We invest heavily in their development and training and believe that our staff are our greatest asset. It’s always very rewarding to see successes”
Katie doesn’t have much time to dwell on her success, she is already making excellent progress on her first Level 3 unit.
