Awarding Exeter Chiefs

11th May 2018

Thompson Jenner joined a host of other supporters at a packed Sandy Park to celebrate another successful season for Exeter Chiefs. Not that the players could relax fully with the Aviva Premiership semi-final against Newcastle looming on 19 May. Retaining the Premiership title would certainly be a fitting reward for a team which ran out the season a full eight points ahead of their nearest rivals.

Putting thoughts of the Newcastle match aside for one night, the players turned out in full to see Sam Simmonds receive player and young player of the year awards; with Carl Rimmer, Will Chudley and Charlie Wright also picking up trophies. A season review from Rob Baxter and a Q&A with first team stars highlighted the winning ethos at the Chiefs, ensuring that every aspect of the club is geared towards success.  For example, last year Exeter Chiefs were the only Premiership Club to make a surplus; an outcome which particularly pleases us as accountants to the Chiefs.

We’d like to particularly thank Henry Slade for joining the Thompson Jenner table and helping us to make the most of the evening which also saw £28,000 raised for the Exeter Foundation.
