Thompson Jenners Christmas E-Cards Benefit South West Children’s Charity

Thompson Jenner have been able to donate five hundred pounds for the Children’s Hospice South West as a result of not sending paper Christmas cards this Christmas.

This year instead of sending traditional paper Christmas cards through the post to clients and business contacts the firm decided to send e-cards, a more environmentally friendly alternative, and let everyone know that the money saved would be donated to the Children’s Hospice South West.

The idea soon caught on with Thompson Jenners Exeter staff who also decided to organise their own collection for staff wishing to make a donation to the charity rather than exchange cards internally to other members of staff.

Nick Richards from East Devon Friends Group for the Children’s Hospice South West was delighted to receive the very generous cheque for £500 on behalf of the hospice at Thompson Jenner’s Exeter offices. He commented ‘I thought this was a brilliant idea of the firm not to send Christmas cards this year and think of others less fortunate. The Hospice relies heavily on fund raising efforts such as this just to keep running, so on behalf of Children’s Hospice South West – a big thank you to all involved.
