Thompson Jenner gains LLP status
Thompson Jenner has converted from a traditional partnership structure to a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP). The conversion took place on the 1 April 2010 and includes the firm’s Exeter and Exmouth offices. The firm will be known as Thompson Jenner LLP.
The seven partner firm is one of the most respected accountancy practices in the region and offer a range of specialist financial services, business and tax advice for individuals and businesses across the region. The firm is continuing to expand its capabilities and the transfer to a LLP is an important move in its growth strategy
Commenting on the conversion, managing partner Peter Walmsley said: “Transferring to LLP status gives us the most appropriate structure for a modern accountancy practice and something we have been considering for some time. We see the move as a very positive change for the firm and our clients. It will allow us to continue to serve our clients at the highest level whilst giving us greater internal flexibility to continue to grow the firm.
He went on to say, “The transfer to LLP status will not affect our client relationships in any way. The Partners and staff will not change and clients can expect the same client focused approach to our service which they have come to expect.
